Through life’s challenges, how do you keep going when things seem overwhelming and you feel stuck? How do you build your strength to keep going when things don’t seem like they are going your way?

  1. Take a step back to move forward.

Sometimes it takes a step back from the doing to just being. I’ve been focusing on being more present by creating more space in my day. Stretching, listening to meditation music and making a cup of lavender tea have been helpful self-care tricks to wind down.

What are some ways that you can take care of yourself better? When I feel more grounded, I find that the doing becomes easier.

2. Remember your purpose.

Big picture: what is your vision? What is your intention? Or what is the reason for why you do the things that you do? In the midst of all the doing, it’s easy to forget.

3. Reach out even when it’s uncomfortable.

What are some ways that you can ask for help? Are there people that you can talk to? How can you tap into your courage to share how you are feeling? I’ve been working through this. I’ve found that once I get out of my head and into action, it makes it easier to ask for help. I find that others are also going through similar feelings and experiences, so that realization makes it safer to share.

4. Tap into the lessons and learnings

How can you learn from your previous experiences? What are the lessons that you’ve learned? I’ve been using Brendon Burchard’s daily journal to write my thoughts down in the morning and in the evening. I find it easier to do when I’m writing down a few sentences instead of writing long paragraphs.

What are some ways that you build resilience? Have a great rest of your week!
