Being clear is kind

I appreciate that there are many factors that go into communication. Clear communication depends on how we feel, what we’re going through, our previous patterns/habits of communication, etc.

When going through extraordinary times, it’s often the one thing that fails for one reason or another. It can be due to lack of time, lack of know-how, fear of what others may think, fear of getting an unfavourable response, feeling unwell, etc. (just to name a few).

Getting clear on what you want is also key. Instead of being driven by fear, do your best to tap into your inner self to tap into more of what you want.

When you’re going through fight-or-flight, this may be challenging, so give yourself some grace and practice more self-compassion. You are doing the best that you can.
